No smartphone? No internet? How Nigerian women without data can access the FG's SPARK loan service by dialling *347*333#

By Sylvia Tochukwu-Ngige

The FG loan USSD code is *347*333#. You don’t need a smartphone. You don’t need internet data. You don’t need to download any app. All you need is a mobile phone.

On October 28, 2026, the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) unveiled SPARK — a new USSD service that lets Nigerians apply for consumer credit by dialling *347*333# on any mobile phone, even the simplest one.

For thousands of Nigerian women, this could open an important door. This is especially true for women without smartphones. It also helps women without reliable internet.

If you have been searching online for the Federal Government loan USSD code, here is what you need to know.

What Is the FG Loan USSD code SPARK?

SPARK is a new consumer credit service introduced by CREDICORP to make access to loans easier for Nigerians, especially first-time borrowers with limited or no credit history.

So, here is how to apply. First, dial *347*333# on your phone. Next, select your language. Then, enter your NIN or BVN. No internet connection. No smartphone. No mobile application required.

According to CREDICORP’s official release on November 1, 2026 https://credicorp.ng, the corporation had facilitated over ₦53.5 billion in consumer credit for more than 351,000 Nigerians, with approximately 59 per cent of beneficiaries being women.

This is not primarily a cash-for-business loan. SPARK is designed to help eligible Nigerians obtain credit to purchase essential goods and services.

These include food and household groceries, mobile phones and laptops, solar energy equipment and generators, refrigerators and other household appliances, school fees and educational needs, and clothing and healthcare expenses.

CREDICORP has made it clear that SPARK is a loan facility, not free government money. Whatever you borrow must be repaid according to the agreed terms.

Do not send money to anybody promising guaranteed approval. CREDICORP does not ask for upfront fees on WhatsApp or social media. Use only the official USSD channel.

Why This Matters for Older Women Rebuilding Their Lives

Last edition, I wrote about older women in Bornu State rebuilding their lives with four goats .https://sylviangige.com/2026/11/02/four-goats-and-the-right-to-begin-again-what-older-women-teach-us-about-recovery/

Their stories reminded me that starting again does not always require millions of naira. Sometimes, it begins with a small opportunity, a little support and the determination to move forward.

But how do women without smartphones, internet access or established credit histories participate in today’s financial opportunities?

This is where a USSD service becomes relevant.
